The 2025 Open Championship will return to the stunning Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland

In 2025 The Open Championship will return to the aesthetically stunning Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland, then it's back to North West England where the event will be hosted at the always popular Royal Birkdale in 2026.

There are currently no venues confirmed beyond that though it could be that St Andrews, in keeping with the five-year cycle, will hold the 155th Open.

Other venues which will come into the frame are likely to be Royal Lytham & St Annes, Turnberry and Muirfield (2013) which have not hosted The Open for a number of years.
