St Andrews Golf Tours create Scottish Golf Adventures just for you and your group. We are well aware that not one or two itineraries will suffice for all so we start with a blank canvas and with you create something very special that you will all be happy with.
Golfers and non-golfers from across the globe have been enjoying our completely unique custom built experiences for over 30 years.
Neil Robertson, Golf Tour Operator
In 1985 at the age of 17, Neil took his first steps into Professional golf leaving a small town in Scotland to start work under "arguably" the best golf teacher on the planet, John Jacobs on the outskirts of London. After 4 years Neil moved back to Scotland where he secured a position in Banff at Duff House Royal Golf Club designed by the legendary Dr Alistair Mackenzie who also went on to design the world-famous Augusta National.
Neil then headed overseas to continue his golf profession initially in Portugal then on to Germany, Norway and finally Italy before returning home to Scotland in 2006 where he took up a position as a teaching profession at St Andrews Links Golf Academy.
Finding a balance between playing, teaching and caddying on the European Tour was proving to be difficult so Neil decided it was time to change direction but remain in the golf industry. After arranging numerous members trips to Scotland over the years when he was abroad Neil decided to set up his own Scottish golf travel company and the rest as the say "is history"
Neil still regularly plays golf and is a member of St Andrews Golf Club.
We were asked by a Client (also a good friend) to arrange another golfing adventure to Scotland for him and his friends who spanned the width of the States from California to Florida. One member of the group was Michael Block who on this trip had his first taste of Scottish Links Golf.
I could see at St Andrews Old Course and at Royal Dornoch even in a very stiff breeze that he was consistently hitting fairways and peppering the flags.
We kept in contact then his wonderful PGA Championship adventure at Oak Hill arose where he finished tied 15th. A couple of months after that Michael got in touch to say he was going to come over to Dundonald Links for the final qualifying for the 2024 Open Championship at Troon. We discussed the best courses to play to get him into the right "Links Golf" mode to prepare for Dundonald.
I was delighted when Michael accepted an invite to play at Turnberry Ailsa and although it was very breezy we both enjoyed the round before heading back to Dundonald for the night. In testing conditions the following day it was not to be for Michael after a very tough start however not to be put off he is looking ahead to going one better next year and playing at Royal Portrush.
"This is the 5th time we have booked our UK trip through Neil. With his "extremely" impressive background in Golf and his logistical knowledge of the UK we have no reason whatsoever to look elsewhere!"
